Illuminate Hope Gala 2022

B the Light was started in 2016 by survivor Amber Melby and is the only non-profit in the New Ulm and surrounding
area that exclusively serves breast cancer patients and their families. We have created a variety of programs and have
directly impacted over one hundred survivors, along with their families and friends. :

ReLight Retreats: This is a quarterly event aimed at connecting survivors with others in the area and helping them ReLight the emotional spark often lost through a cancer journey.

Hope Handbags at Christmas: A nominated local survivor receives a personalized B the Light tote with over $500 in gift cards to local businesses.

HOPE Getaways: B the Light pays for nominated survivors and their families to go on a healing journey, to get away from the word cancer and feel whole again.

Survival Fitness Program:  An exercise program including both strength and yoga classes designed to support breast cancer survivors while helping them regain some of the physical strength lost through treating cancer.

Donations: Survivors that are nominated can receive a $500 donation from B the Light to help with medical expenses or financial hardships.
